Robotics Kick-off at Garmin. So exciting!

We have taken action to mitigate the copper levels in the water. These actions have led to good testing results, but we must continue to monitor and assess the situation.
We must conduct and pass one more round of testing for final approval from KDHE to allow full use and occupancy of the building. The samples for this testing must be collected at least 8 hours after the system has been flushed. We also have to test several locations, and any activity in the system anywhere can invalidate the testing process.
With that in mind, we are asking that everyone please stay out of the buildings over the weekend. There will be no Rec. Games on Saturday. If any teachers or employees have to come to the building for something please don't use any water. It is imperative that those doing the collections be allowed to draw samples that meet the requirements during the day on Saturday.
I am planning on having school as scheduled on Monday.
If for some reason the testing doesn't go as I anticipate, I will send a message out Sunday evening with details and instructions concerning school on Monday. If all goes as I anticipate, you won't hear from me, and we will have school on Monday.
Have a great weekend.

Cancelled school won’t stop the Robotics team! Spending the day making cookies and chili for tomorrow’s kick-off.

No School January 5.

There will be no school Thursday, January 4th.

Due to issues with the heating and plumbing systems there will be NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, Wednesday January 3, 2018. We regret any inconvenience this will cause families. (We are as ready to have your students back as you are to send them, but this frigid weather is causing great challenges.)
We will send out an update tomorrow afternoon concerning the situation and how activities will be affected.
The games tonight at Northern Heights are not affected. We will be playing.
However, ALL YOUTH PRACTICES and other events being held at the school this evening are cancelled.

The middle school basketball bracket is attached for next week.
