The activity uncovered some truths about communication in a non-traditional way, which led to some great discussions and revelations! Bravo!

Something that we really promote at CHMS is student leadership, which is what you're about to witness in this post!
Our middle school leadership class created vision boards at the beginning of the semester, and on those vision boards was the theme of unity, community, and belonging in our middle school. No matter which grade a student is in, they wanted them to have a little family in our middle school made up of people that they may or may not have ever spoken to!
Enter in: Viking Villages! These Villages meet once per week and have different objectives each week, all curated by our leadership class! Since today was the maiden voyage for the villages, they did introductions and human bingo! Sure, there were awkward spots where people were having to interact with others that they don't know or rarely speak to, but isn't that the point?! What a fun opportunity for our students, and we are so thankful to all of our leaders (both adult and student) who made this happen!

Fourth grade read with preK for Read Across America week, so much fun!
