Powerful learning happens all of the time when a teacher leads a classroom. But do you know what's even MORE powerful? Having students lead! That's exactly what you're seeing in these pictures.
Mr. Reece's 6th grade science class was given evidence cards that pointed to whether or not a hypothetical bicyclist had boosted his blood through artificial means. Each student had to examine the evidence, make a claim based on their background knowledge they gained throughout the unit, and then they were able to prove their points using all KINDS of scientific vocabulary, defending their reasons, learning how to politely disagree with someone, etc. Science is awesome!




🏀 It's time to sign your child up for Biddy Ball! Let them learn and enhance their basketball skills this November! Forms went home at the elementary school and need to be returned by October 30th.

Exciting things are happening in Mrs. Degraaf's classroom this week! Freshmen have been bringing in their rock collections for Rock Show & Tell, which is a fantastic way to spark their enthusiasm for their upcoming Rocks & Minerals Unit.
