We have some pretty awesome students in 4th grade who wanted to help clear snow...and just maybe play in it! Great job kiddos! 🤣❄️
Today, we hosted the FutureMaker Lab from Wichita State University for our Juniors and Seniors! The event took place in the big gym, where students rotated through four sessions. Activities included flight simulators, a virtual welder, a virtual painter, and even robot dogs!
It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore technology and career possibilities.

Middle School Basketball Season Finale Tonight!
It’s game day, Vikings! 🏀Join us at home tonight, January 16, as we cheer on the Central Heights Vikings in their final middle school basketball game of the season against the Uniontown Eagles. The first games begin at 4:30 PM in the Central Heights Gym, and this is a night you won’t want to miss.
This game is extra special as it marks the last middle school basketball game for our incredible 8th graders. Let’s pack the house and show them the support they deserve as we close out the season with a bang!
To add to the fun, we encourage everyone to wear their wackiest silly socks and Viking gear as we “sock it” to Uniontown. There will be plenty of excitement, including a live performance of the National Anthem, a t-shirt toss, and even an award for the silliest socks of the night.
Let’s bring the energy, have some fun, and make this a night to remember. See you there, Vikings!

The middle school boys home basketball tournament for Saturday 1/11 has been cancelled.
The High School basketball games for tonight 1/10 have been postponed.
We have rescheduled our two high school basketball games that were postponed for:
2/3/25 at home vs Pleasanton
2/13/25 at home vs St. Paul.
Due to the snowfall forecast overnight, the expected road conditions will make the morning commute unsafe for our students, families, and staff. For this reason, USD 288 will not be in session on Friday, January 10.

We are still planning on having our High School basketball games for tomorrow 1/10/25. We are keeping an eye on the weather as well. There will only be VARSITY GIRLS AND VARSITY BOYS GAMES. The girls game will start at 6:00 pm followed by the boys.
