Principal's Honor Students enjoy lunch at Wendy's
Nine 5th graders ate lunch at Wendy's in Ottawa on January 18 for their second quarter grades. The scholars had a grade point average of 3.3 - 4.0. Lots of smiles and fun!

These writers were presented a medal and cash award for their essays at the MLK Day celebration on January 20 at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium.

The first place winners, Aracely and Austyn read their essays to the audience. The guest speaker for the event was the president of Ottawa University, Dr. Reggies Wenyika.

The first graders are enjoying reading time with Mrs. Smith in the library igloo. Please check out the article in the Ottawa Herald Weekender newspaper (January 26-27).

The Vikings keep the momentum going and hold a 28-19 lead at the half.

The Vikings climb out of a 5-11 hole in the final three minutes of the first quarter to take a 16-13 lead into the second quarter.

Girls fall to Jayhawk Linn 25-37

A tough third quarter is complete and the Vikings find themselves behind 17-23 headed to the fourth

Headed to halftime the girls are tied 13 all with Jayhawk Linn

JV boys beat Jayhawk Linn 56-20. Great job guys!
