CHES Students and Parents:
Coach Sloth, is coming to school on March 7.
Ryan Sloth, children’s author and former Iowa State University and Iowa Barnstormer football player will meet with students throughout the day. The staff is creating an environment suitable for any sloth!
Here are some of the activities taking place:
T-shirts may be ordered for $5 by Feb. 27.
Books may be purchased at any time. Coach Sloth will personalize and autograph the books!
If a student orders a shirt or book, they will receive a “Sloth Ticket” which will enter them into a drawing for the chance at: 4 passes to the Kansas City Zoo, a 6 foot sloth, or a Build-A-Bear (sloth).
Red Viking tickets will be given to the students through March 6 for exhibiting P.R.I.D.E. (positivity, respect, integrity, determination, or effort for excellence). There will be drawings for Coach Sloth reading and coloring books, sloth keychains, stickers, mugs, plates, stuffed sloths, etc. every morning!
There are grade level contests (4th & 5th - essays on perseverance),(3rd grade STEM challenge/animal habitat), (2nd - STEM challenge to create a hammock to hold a baby sloth), (PreK, K, and 1st - coloring a sloth picture)
The essay winners will eat pizza with Coach Sloth. All the winners will have sloth sundaes with Coach Sloth.

PreK- 5th Grade Roller Skating Begins February 26th
The skating program beings Feb. 26 and goes through March 8. The permission forms must be signed and returned to the CHES office before the students will be allowed to participate.

Stinebaugh’s Anatomy & Physiology class completed a practice dissection with Chicken Wings in preparation for their future Cat Dissections.

These two first graders, Isaac and Kinzie donated $120 to the Richmond Health Care Center. They collected the money by selling treats to the CH staff after school. We are so proud of these students!

No School tomorrow, Wednesday February 20.
