4th grade field trip to Science City!





Central Heights FFA had a great performance at State Career Development Events this year.
The Livestock team was 4/83 teams and earned the opportunity to represent Kansas at the Arizona National Livestock Show in December. Team members were Cheyenne Higbie, Damon Higbie, Matt Cubit and Alex Cannady
Ag Mechanics was 5/36. Team members were Mason McCurry 10th, Dylan Kimball, Cauy Newell, and Jesse Collins
Floriculture was 6/40. Team members were Jonathan Fox, Katie Janes, Cyla Gardner, Reagan Lee
Dairy Cattle placed 8/41. Team members were Faith Mildfelt 4th, Jayden Lee, Tyler Silvis, and Addey Froggatte
Meats placed 9/38. Team members were Damon Higbie, Alex Cannady, Cheyenne Higbie, and Dylan Kimball
Vet Science placed 25/70. Team consisted of Damon Higbie, Cheyenne Higbie, Caitlyn Thompson, and Jessica Asbury.
Mr. Cubit and Mr. McGee are very proud of these kids and their efforts this year.

Due to weather conditions and some damage to the New Horizon Ranch, we are rescheduling the field to next school year.
CHES 1st & 2nd Grade Parents,
Tentatively, the students will visit New Horizon Ranch on Friday, May 10. We will let you all know by Thursday, May 9 if the field trip is on! There will be no sack lunches.

Mrs. Evans - 2019 Outstanding Early Literacy Teacher
Mrs. Evans was recognized as the Outstanding Early Literacy Teacher for Central Heights Elementary.
She is one of 58 teachers across Kansas receiving this Kansas Reading Roadmap award. Mrs. Evan's daughter, Sydney and Mrs. Croci (KRR Program Coordinator) presented her with a certificate and gifts.
